More and more people are employed on the basis of flexible forms of employment and are deprived of many forms of social security. Work gives women the chance of being active in professional and public life. A law preserving the rights of women does exist, but it lacks effectiveness in being executed. However, it is still more difficult for them to find a job, that is why the number of unemployed women is constantly growing. Silesian regional job market - as it is often underlined in subject literature - is a special type of market, shaped by the centuries of tradition in development of the mining industry as well as iron and steel industry.
